Two of the busiest padel clubs in Cape Town have just joined the league. Padel 365 has entered the 2027 Bear Digital Cup Series with both of its clubs, and between them they bring ten indoor courts, twelve squads and a track record of hosting some of the biggest events South African padel has seen.
Padel 365 – Century City takes the last of the ten Founder Club places, completing the group of clubs that backed the league before a ball was hit. Padel 365 – Richmond Park comes in as the league’s 11th club, taking one of the places that opened up when the league grew to room for 20 clubs. Both enter squads in all six divisions for the 2027 Summer League, which starts on Saturday, 6 February 2027.
Padel 365 has entered the 2027 Bear Digital Cup Series with two clubs. Padel 365 – Century City is the 10th and final Founder Club, and Padel 365 – Richmond Park is the league’s 11th club. Each club enters squads in all six divisions and plays its home fixtures at its own five-court indoor venue. With 11 of 20 places now taken, 9 places are still open until club entries close on 30 November 2026.

Who are Padel 365?
Padel 365 runs two big indoor clubs north of the city: one on Slipstream Way in Century City and one in the Richmond Park development in Milnerton, close to the N7. Its co-owner is Paul Atkinson, a former top-five South African squash player, and the group has built a reputation for doing things at scale: five courts at each club, streaming and replay on every court, food on site and a calendar full of events.
In a short time the two clubs have become some of the city’s go-to event venues. Here is how quickly it has happened:
That experience matters for a club league. Running a fixture means six matches on a Saturday afternoon, with players, captains and supporters all arriving at once. Padel 365 has already shown it can handle a weekend of national championship padel across two venues.
Padel 365 – Century City: the 10th Founder Club
Only the first ten clubs to enter the 2027 Summer League become Cape Town Founder Clubs, a title they keep for good. Century City’s entry fills the tenth and final place, so its name now sits alongside Padel X Somerset West, Virgin Active Padel Club – Lourensford, Welgemoed Padel, Aura Padel Club, The Racket + Ball Club – Bree Street, both Atlantic Padel clubs, Virgin Active Padel Club – Epicentre and Eden Padel Club.
The club plays on five indoor courts, each named for a sponsor: Court 1 Asics, Court 2 Absa, Court 3 Growthpoint (the championship court), Court 4 Pokerbet and Court 5 Cox Energy. Courts 2 and 4 have extra run-out space, so you can chase a ball outside the glass, and every court has Capture streaming and replay, so players can watch their points back after a match.

Off court, there is a restaurant, café and snack bar, a well-stocked pro shop, changing rooms and free parking, plus an outdoor play park with picnic benches that makes it an easy club for families. The courts are open from 6am to 11pm on weekdays and 6am to 10pm on weekends.
Padel 365 – Richmond Park: the league’s 11th club
Richmond Park is a big, bright indoor club in the Richmond Park development in Milnerton, with easy access to the N7. Its five padel courts include the Growthpoint Properties Match Court and the Santam Championship Court, alongside Stitch Court 2, Padel 3 and Padel 4, and every one has Capture streaming and replay. It also has pickleball, which you can book on Playtomic alongside padel.

The club runs a Tuesday lunchtime social for beginners and a men’s Wednesday morning social, and its restaurant has a pizza oven, which is a very good reason to stay after a match. Having hosted the 42-hour PADEL42 marathon, it is used to crowds.
Richmond Park joins as the league’s 11th club, one of the places that opened when the league grew from 10 to 20 clubs. It plays in every division, competes for the same R180,000 prize pool and has the same shot at Finals Weekend as every other club.

What it means for the league
Padel 365’s entry is a milestone in three ways.
After club entries close, a seeded draw puts every club into Group A or Group B, and clubs play everyone in their group once. If the draw puts Century City and Richmond Park in the same group, Cape Town gets a brand-new derby between two sister clubs. We have picked out that one, and the other rivalries to watch, in Derby Days: the 2027 Cup Series rivalries to watch.
