Welgemoed Padel is a leafy two-court club on Jip de Jager Drive in Welgemoed, Bellville. It has bright blue courts and a lawn lounge right alongside, with sofas, benches and umbrellas under the trees. It’s one of the first four clubs to enter the Bear Digital Cup Series, and one of the home clubs Cup Series teams can choose at registration.

The courts
The two courts are the Fairtree Court and the Brenthurst Court, both bookable on Playtomic from 6am to 10pm, seven days a week. Next to them, a grassed lounge with sofas, benches and umbrellas gives players and supporters a shady spot to watch.
Off the court
The pro shop keeps the same hours as the courts. It handles racket rentals and sells balls, equipment and snacks, and there are bathrooms and showers. The club also lists changing rooms, lockers, Wi-Fi, free parking and a play park for kids.
Social play
The social calendar is busy, with sessions like Golden 60s, the Lunchtime Social, Midweek Mayhem and Super8 events for stronger players, all bookable on Playtomic. An annual membership (R2,000) gives 20% off court bookings, R500 in your club wallet and bookings four weeks ahead instead of two.
